AIMF The International Magic Association
Magicians, we would like to invite you to be a part of the International Magic Association, an exciting new magic club associated with The Australian International Magic Festival.
IMA was founded by Terence Brabazon and Belladonna Brabazon in May 2013 to provide a wonderful interactive and supportive environment for fellow magicians and their assistants/associates to share, create and inspire each other magically.
Our goal is to strengthen the magic community for future generations and connect the old magic world with the new to create something truly special.
The International Magic Association was created specifically to unite magicians not just in Australia but all over the world, from all walks of life and all ages and levels of experience.
IMA endeavours to always be non-judgmental, honest and ethical in all business dealings, with clients and fellow magicians. We aim to encourage, inspire and teach junior and apprentice magicians through means of one-on-one tuition, social meet-ups, workshops and lectures.
The International Magic Association adheres to the following code of ethical conduct set out by The International Brotherhood of Magicians and the Society of American Magicians:
· Oppose the wilful exposure to the public of any principles of the Art of Magic or the method employed in any magic effect or illusion.
· Display ethical behaviour in the presentation of magic to the public and in our conduct as magicians, including not interfering with or jeopardising the performance of another magician, either through personal intervention or the unauthorised use of another’s creation.
· Recognise and respect for the rights of the creators, inventors, authors and owners of magic concepts, presentations, effects and literature, and their rights to have exclusive use of, or to grant permission for the use of by others such creations.
· Discourage false and misleading statements in the advertising of effects and literature, merchandise or actions pertaining to the magical arts. Discourage advertisement in magical publications for any magical apparatus, effect, literature of other materials for which the advertiser does not have commercial rights.
· Promote the humane treatment and care of livestock used in magical performances. Each organization expects its members to adhere to the foregoing ethical principles and to educate non-members to the need to adhere to these ethical precepts.
We highly discourage gossip, bickering, and unethical behaviour within the magic community.
In the years ahead we will be hosting meet-ups in Sydney/Parramatta. We believe these meetings will be the building blocks to a new stronger foundation in the magic community. IMA encourages our interstate and international members to organise "monthly meet-ups" with others also in their location.
IMA has an exciting future ahead, join us today and be a part of the excitement!
As a reward, IMA Members will receive email notifications of Magic Festival News and tickets will be offered to members before the general public. Members will also get a free magic profile on ozmagifest.com with direct client to magician contact available.

IMA Members are committed to The Magician’s Oath -
As a magician I promise never to reveal the secret of any illusion to a non-magician, unless that one swears to uphold the Magician's Oath in turn. I promise never to perform any illusion for any non-magician without first practising the effect until I can perform it well enough to maintain the illusion of magic.
